1982 - 35th Reunion (May 25-28, 2017)

Y82 – 35th Reunion
May 25-28, 2017
Pierson College

Biggest reunion ever. Best God created. Huge. Bigly. Great.
Staying home is overrated. Don’t. Sad.
At a real university. With degrees. You’ll love it. Believe us.

Dear Classmates,

All kidding aside, it’s time for our 7th reunion (35th under the traditional counting system). Over 200 pre-registrations have come in.  More are sure to follow. Click here to see the current list.

Along with the usual celebrations, faculty lectures, and plenty of time to relax & reconnect, here are some highlights for our class:

  • Class panels on “Reinventing Ourselves” as life’s priorities change, plus “Keeping Up with the Information Revolution.” Classmates with personal stories and insights to share will lead these open discussions. Stay tuned for details.
  • Live music and dancing at the Saturday Class Dinner with "The New Desperation". The band was a huge hit for the Class of 81 last year. An anonymous class donor is generously underwriting their return. There’s some great class spirit!
  • Tee times reserved at the Yale Golf Course on Saturday morning at 10:30 am. Contact the pro-shop at (203) 392-2376.
  • The best local-sourced menus from Yale’s incredible Hospitality Services.
  • Your friends and classmates!

HERE’S WHAT TO DO

  1. Click here to register online now!
  2. Look at the list of people already pre-registered.
  3. Think of at least one friend not yet registered who you would like to see, and call or email that friend. If we all do this, we can easily double attendance and help assure seeing the people most important to each of us.
  4. Let us know (email addresses below) if you would like to participate in either of the class panels.
  5. Keep following developments at the Class AYA Reunion Page and the Class Facebook Page.
  6. Participate in the Class of 1982 Class Book project! Submit your biography now. For those who need your "LOG IN" information resent, please contact mark@meno-recollections.com.
  7. Talk up the reunion on Twitter, Facebook, and wherever else you stay in touch with classmates.

We hope the surviving partners of our classmates will join the reunion as a complimentary guest of the Class of 1982. If you need financial assistance to attend our reunion please reach out to Stacey O'Donnell, our AYA liaison, for a confidential discussion of your needs.  Stacey O'Donnell can be reached via email at stacey.odonnell@yale.edu or at (203) 432-1955.

See you Memorial Day weekend in Pierson!

Boola, Boola!

Reunion Co-Chairs

P.S.  If you don’t plan to stay on campus, click here for a list of local hotel options. While the downtown reunion hotel blocks are currently full, there are a number of hotels outside of downtown New Haven that can accommodate you. There are rooms available at the LaQuinta Inn and Suites New Haven (203) 562-1111, located on Long Wharf, and this hotel will be serviced by the reunion shuttles. Classmates and guests who wish to stay on campus, either in Pierson College or Baker Hall (formerly New Residence Hall) may make these reservations as part of the reunion registration.
